Knuckles is the Canadian and Australian award winning, wife and wife duo,
Chris and Susie Shapones.
From humble beginnings in a Halifax basement, Knuckles bring magic and whimsy to projects big and small. Knuckles' unique style comes from Chris' background in fine craft as a glassblower and jewellery maker, mixed with Susie's speciality in stop-motion animation. Their shared love of bicycle mechanics and animals inform much of their process and content. Together they manipulate real life materials with hand drawn illustrations through 2D and stop-motion techniques, to produce quirky and original content. Always prioritising environmentally friendly methods and socially conscious messages, Knuckles makes short films, explainer videos, social media content, logo animation and more!
