Tom is a framer who specializes in hand staining timber mouldings to bring out the natural qualities of the wood and create elegant frames. He believes that simple frames are the best because they do not distract from the artwork inside. Tom prioritizes conservation when framing, using acid-free materials, UV-resistant glass and acrylic. He also builds stretchers and stretch canvas works, which he frames with float frames to complete the piece. Additionally, he has 15 years of experience as an installer and can handle a variety of installation challenges, including hanging works and installing sculptures.
